Saffron stew

After telling me the timeline of his life, up until this very day, of scrapped oddities and a series of self-infused misfortune, he looks at me and says “I can’t believe I just told you all that. You are innocent and conservative. You are the epitome of that. Why did I tell you?”.

Sometimes it hurts deeply to think that the world looks at the innocent and conservative as someone who has not gone through, nor is open to, trials and tribulations themselves. Rather, I see the innocent and conservative as someone who, despite what may, still believes in idealism.
